On July 23rd, 2009, a 14 year old Oakley resident, Ally Jenkins was rushed to UCSF and diagnosed with “Pulmonary Hypertension”. It was later discovered that she had an even rarer and serious disease called “Pulmonary Capillary Hemangiotosis” which resulted in a lung transplant.
We as a community are trying to pull together to help this family in a time of need. Soon Ally will be released from UCSF, but her recovery requires that she lives close to UCSF for 6 weeks in sterile and germ free living quarters while she continues her treatments. With the aid of you and this community we are hoping all walkers can get sponsors to raise money for her medical expenses, living expenses during recovery and making her home a safe place to return to. Please aid us in helping the Jenkins family and remember with every step and breath you take on the “Rally for Ally” walk you will be helping Ally!

Her story really put me into tears, being a mother i don't know what i would do if something like this happened to Brielle. The Jenkins Family is trying to hold on tight to their baby girl to pull through. there are way to support this family as in the "Rally for Ally", make a donation, and the best gift of all is a PRAYER.
